Medical - Clinical
Internal Number: PEDS419 The Division of Pulmonary, Asthma, and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks a Pediatric Pulmonologist at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor to join the Division in the Clinician-Educator line. We are particularly interested in candidates who have additional experience in lung transplant and/or training in sleep medicine.
The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful applicants should have an MD/DO degree and Board Certification in Pediatrics, and Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine or equivalent. Candidates with Board eligibility or certification in Sleep Medicine as well as Pulmonary Medicine will receive strong consideration. A California Medical License is required by the time of hire.
This position will be located primarily at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, CA with flexible time at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will provide in-patient and out-patient clinical care in these locations. The clinical teams serve a diverse patient population, with a broad range of pulmonary conditions. The successful candidate will participate in the didactics of medical students, residents, and fellows. Contributions to research, quality improvement and program development will be strongly considered. This position is part of the larger, cohesive group of Pediatric Pulmonologists at Stanford University and Stanford Children’s Health.

The expected base pay range for this position is: Clinical Assistant Professor: $216,000-$228,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
