Serves as an extension of the Dean in accomplishing the initiatives and responsibilities of the School. Provides leadership and coordination for the administrative functions of all areas and programs . Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Dean's office, including prioritizing office tasks and events. Works in conjunction with dean, area heads, program directors, and center directors on faculty and staff personnel actions and training and retention of staff.
7+ years of related administrative/business experience providing leadership and supervision in a university setting.
At least 3 years supervisory experience of administrative staff.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Masters' degree in business, administration, or a related field.
10 + years related and progressive experience as an upper level administrator in an academic setting at a top tier research university.
Experience in managing, coordinating and resolving faculty and staff administrative matters including the promotion and tenure process; familiarity with course catalogs and schedules, financial and grant management, facilities management and other employee related matters.
5+ years of supervisory experience of staff and/or faculty.
At least 3 years PeopleSoft experience and/or experience with similar financial management software used in higher education.
