Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a motivated and self-directed individual for the position of Administrative Assistant to support the offices of Admissions & Records and Disability Services. This part-time position will provide excellent customer service to students and prospective students and provide support with the application and enrollment processes. This Administrative Assistant will also assist faculty and staff who have questions related to the admissions and enrollment processes. This role will work also closely with the Director of Disabilities with regard to scheduling student appointments, administering course testing with approved test accommodations such as proctored testing and read-aloud services.
*High school diploma or GED required *Must be able to work independently and as part of a team with demonstrated experience with organizational skills along with attention to accuracy *Must have a strong ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines while ensuring that student service comes first *Must be willing to work evenings and/or weekends as needed *Must be willing to travel overnight as requested *Must demonstrate professionalism and have excellent customer service skills *Strong written and verbal skills required *Knowledge and skills related to various office technology needed *Absolute confidentiality is required with all processes related to student information
