Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a Grants Administrator to help coordinate and grow the robust grant activity on campus. The Grants Administrator will have major responsibility for grant planning, writing, and administration; will provide assistance with other college fund-raising activities, grants from Foundations, corporations, and government sources, and provide revenue for college initiatives, campus innovation, policy, advocacy, and special projects that result in the fulfillment of the community college mission. Telework is an option for this position but the selected candidate must be available for onsite meetings as needed.
*Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and organizational skills and be able to articulate educational goals and develop objectives, budgets, evaluation methods and desired program outcomes *Working knowledge of the use of computer-based technology for research, word processing, development of spreadsheets and oral presentations *Ability to work well under pressure/meet deadlines *Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the community college *Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty & staff and other stakeholders important to the college *Education and or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree required
