Tenured/Tenure Track Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor- School of Nursing - (200000FA)
The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently recruiting for a full-time tenure track/tenured Assistant/Associate/Full Professor who has a promising or established program of research that aligns with one of our organized research centers (ORCs): Biology and Behavior Across the Lifespan (BBAL) and Center for Health Outcomes Research (CHOR) and a desire to mentor or is an experienced mentor of doctoral nursing students. Specific areas of research priorities include 1) chronic illnesses, 2) gerontology, 3) stress psychophysiology/behavior, 4) health promotion, community/public health, and/or 5) health disparities/health equity. Experience working with large data sets, advanced analytical techniques, and/or mixed methods approaches are of particular interest. UMSON enrolls more than 1,900 students in its baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral programs. It is ranked 5th in funding for public nursing schools from the National Institutes of Health. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland, graduate professional campus that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, and social work. Its interdisciplinary graduate school has more than 40 programs in the biosciences, law, and social work, and is one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the nation. Required Education and Experience: * Earned research doctorate in nursing or a related field, * Evidence of scholarly achievement, including research funding, data-based publications, and national/international professional presentations * Post-doctoral fellowship/research preferred * Prior academic experience preferred * Nurses preferred but others may apply * Current license to practice nursing, eligible for licensure in Maryland, if applicable
