Join Harborview Medical Center's Pioneer Square/Downtown programs for a 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift position as an Registered Nurse (RN2).
The Pioneer Square Downtown Programs is looking for a fulltime RN for our Primary Care clinic sites. Utilizing the concepts of trauma informed care and harm reduction, we specialize in the care of patients living un-housed downtown Seattle. Practicing within a model of team medicine, the RN will follow evidence-based nursing practices, exercise independent judgement, and manage complex primary care health issues. You will collaborate with patients, their family, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans. You will interact regularly with providers and support staff across the UW Medicine system, including pharmacies, hospital personnel, laboratories, and community-based mental health and case management. The RNs see a high volume of patients for wound care, medication management, education, and walk-in triage.
SCHEDULE: 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift (M-F, 8am-430pm).
LOCATION: Harborview’s Pioneer Square/Downtown Programs – primarily sited at Pioneer Square and/or Third Ave Center, however, may require working in other sites in the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs at times. Working location may include our new Primary Care location, Hobson Place, opening in early 2022.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of acute or ambulatory care experience.
STRONGLY DESIRED: Wound care experience Experience working with vulnerably housed individuals Good working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, Harm Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing Experience working with patients dealing with mental illness and substance use disorder
