General Statement of Job The Library Part-time Clerk is a twelve month, classified staff position reporting to the Library Operations Specialist whose responsibilities include providing assistance at public services desks; sorts, shelves and issues and receives library materials. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties: Answers inquiries of nonprofessional nature and refers persons requiring professional assistance to a librarian. Answers and transfers phone calls. Assists patrons in locating materials throughout the library. Assists patrons in use of computers, copiers, printers, reader printers, and other equipment.
