Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
The Research Program Coordinator (RPC), under the direct supervision of the Program Supervisor or Principal Investigator, willberesponsible forcoordinating of all aspects of the Medical Critical Care Research Group at Johns Hopkins University. The RPC will be a leader and point of contact for interventional and observations studies of treat COVID – 19 pneumonia and other studies of sepsis, acute lung injury, and triage.
General qualifications include strong organizational skills, the ability to easily adapt to change and work independently,to work constructively in a team environment, and a willingness to learn new skills and knowledge. The RPC will be a member of our multiple multidisciplinary research team, which will include faculty investigators, research nurses, other study coordinators, and students.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide high quality management and coordination of research studies.
Partake in and oversee the enrollment and registration of critically ill patients into research studies.
Assist in the development and clarity of study protocols to establish functional standard operating procedures, maintain manuals of operation, data collection instruments, training materials and other materials.
Assist research team in developing and maintaining database of research studies using REDCap, Excel, and/or other cloud based platforms.
Prepare data reports for ethical review committees, funding agencies, and other sponsors.
Assist in compiling data for study progress reports and grant proposals using Stata, RedCap, and/or similar.
Communicate effectively with administrative staff, institutional leadership, and study sponsors at JHU
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies usedin research studies.
The position will be based in Baltimore, but will require travel between Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center as we will recruit participants from each site.
Organize and lead regular calls regarding progress in data collection activities, data management, patient safety, and other site-specific issues with members of the research team.
MaintaincompliancewithHIPAA and IRB regulations and guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
Perform SAP transactions including order of supplies (Shopping Cart), Travel Assistant, and On-Line Payment as requested.
Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
Minimum Qualifications (mandatory):
Bachelor’s degree in related area.
Some related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
The candidate must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines is a must.
The candidate must also have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and personal computer skills.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:
Required: All IRB-required courses, appropriate study related certifications/training and SAP training must be completed within 2 weeks of start date.
