Southwest Virginia Community College seeks a collaborative, motivated, self-directed individual to oversee the new Bluefield educational location. The site coordinator collaborates with the College's senior staff, the academic deans, the student services dean, and the workforce development dean to provide leadership and support for all activities at the Bluefield Center. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates with the division deans on academic and workforce scheduling.
Assists with the selection of fulltime and part-time instructional and classified personnel at the Center and evaluates the performance of classified staff.
Organizes and participates in a wide range of recruitment events.
Provides intrusive advisement services for students enrolled at the Center.
Provides oversight and leadership for day to day Center operations.
Plans and monitors the quality, quantity, and use of office and classroom space, equipment, and instructional materials at the Center.
Develops, implements, and monitors the Centers budget and expenditures.
Operates as the primary liaison between the students and the institution.
Promotes a culture that supports diversity and inclusion.
Other responsibilities as necessary and assigned.
Bachelor's Degree Excellent customer service skills Strong writing and verbal skills/Excellent Grammar, spelling, typing and business writing skills Proven ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously Proficient in a number of relevant software programs High level of tact, discretion, confidentiality; ability to think critically and excellent customer service Knowledge & skills related to various office technology including accounting principles
