The part-time office coordinator will provide support services to students at 119 Euclid Ave. and the director of diversity and inclusion. 119 Euclid Ave. is a building that is dedicated to serving and supporting the needs of students who identify as Black and/or within the African Diaspora. The part-time office coordinator will provide support services including but not limited to: oversee the administrative functions of 119 Euclid Ave., greet building visitors, supervise 119 Euclid Ave. student employees, manage room reservations and office spaces, assist in programming development and execution, manage and order building supplies, coordinate building functions and events, manage administrative paperwork, and assist in creating building communications.
The coordinator will assist in providing support services/resources for undergraduate and graduate students who frequent 119 Euclid Ave. The part-time office coordinator will be responsible for maintaining close working relationships with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and will serve as a brand steward for the office's work and initiatives. Preferably, the individual will have a sense of civic engagement in dealing with the broader Syracuse community regarding various aspects of the Black community. As the first point-of-contact for 119 Euclid Ave., the part-time office coordinator will demonstrate an appreciation and sensitivity to the needs of Black and/or within the African Diaspora students and the full spectrum of equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion elements.
