We are currently seeking to hire an Administrative Support Specialist position in our Workforce branch. The incumbent will provide customer service and registration assistance by phone, online, and face to face for a diverse population of workforce students pursuing career training, industry credentials, and employer training programs. The position interacts with faculty, community members, business partners and staff providing support, program fulfillment and administrative resources aiding the delivery of workforce courses, training and programming. Workforce Administrative Support Specialists enter and maintain accurate data related to courses and programs along with student and financial information in established enterprise systems. Data discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Further, the position supports class performance information including rosters, evaluations, and recording and loading of earned credentials through state credential tracking platforms. The position performs purchasing activities utilizing state and college purchasing systems, and tracks related activities including delivery and payments. The Administrative Support Specialist tracks the progress and ensures reconciliation of various reporting and budgetary documents, using VCCS enterprise systems. Workforce Administrative Support Specialists are comfortable with online and face to face customer service activities; are skilled in Microsoft Office and Google applications; experienced in online commerce and customer relations; and proactive with research and problem solving activities. Experience with the Virginia procurement system (eVA); the Virginia Community College System Workforce Enterprise System (WES); Adobe software; and experience with interactive social platforms is desirable.
