Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a public, comprehensive community college. As part of the 23 college Virginia Community College System, PVCC serves the city of Charlottesville and the six adjacent counties. We are seeking to identify qualified and interested adjunct faculty members in the following teaching disciplines and/or subject areas: *HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT* Instruct entry level Health Information Management course(s) to prepare students to take the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Course content may include: electronic billing, reimbursement issues, CPT classifications and/or pharmacology.
The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Applicants must be currently credentialed as CCS, RHIT or RHIA and have at least two years of coding experience. Minimum Education Required- must be a currently certified coding specialist (CCS) and have three years of hospital coding experience.
