This position is responsible for providing front-line technical and staff management ensuring efficient, reliable and secure WAN, datacenter LAN, Voice, and related infrastructure services are delivered to the 25 VCCS entities. This team operates a wide variety of technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VoIP, video, Cisco ACI and two enterprise datacenters, all in support of the enterprise applications portfolio service offerings. Primary Responsibilities: •Provide direct supervision and performance management of staff. •Provide technical expertise and critical problem solving for all datacenter, WAN, LAN, DNS, Load balancing, and related network technologies. •Establish, standardize and document best practice procedures to ensure security, availability, sustainability and uniformity of network infrastructure services. •Complete hardware and/or software maintenance renewals. •Ensure team work queues adhere to SLAs. •Lead and/or participate in various ITS and VCCS tasks and/or projects assess, deploy and exploit new or improved infrastructure technology. •Work collaboratively with and provide a high level of customer service to the 23 community colleges. •Work closely with database and systems engineering teams to engineer effective solutions that ensure reliability, quality and scalability. •Diagnose and resolve incidents (e.g. security, outages, performance tuning) •Collaborate and assist teams to support VCCS applications •Participate in Disaster Recovery and business continuity efforts for the VCCS •Participate during analysis of business and application requirements to translate into new or modified infrastructure or network capabilities. •Manage the rotation in support of a mission-critical 24/7/365 environments
