As a member of the President's Executive Team, the Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for providing leadership, expertise, direction, and support for the collegeâ™s mission, vision, values, and goals. The AVP oversees the planning and execution of key institutional effectiveness functions, including strategic planning, accreditation, research, and support of college and system initiatives. The AVP will actively promote an organizational culture that values and utilizes data when making decisions. With an eye towards continuous improvement and equity, the AVP champions a comprehensive, collaborative, effective, and inclusive communication and feedback strategy throughout the college community. As an administrator and college leader, the AVP works to establish and retain a high-quality IE Office team to provide a foundational resource for college strategies and initiatives.
Master's Degree in Business, Administration, Statistics, Higher Education, or closely related field. Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, quality improvement, project management, and the measurement of organizational effectiveness. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret quantitative data; development of comprehensive reports and interpretation of complex data; effective presentation of assessment data. Experience as a faculty member and/or with institutional effectiveness assessment or program evaluation in higher education. Experience navigating the assessment requirements of a regional accrediting agency, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC). Computer skills and demonstrated competency with spreadsheet, graphics, database, and statistical analysis software packages. Experience in leading individuals and groups in using data to guide decision making in complex organizations.
