Assistant Professor of Statistics starting in the Fall of 2018:
Candidate is expected to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service. We seek candidates who have the potential to establish a vigorous externally funded research program that complements existing faculty research interests, and who are able to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students effectively.
Expertise and leadership in statistical research and ability to teach effectively both the undergraduate and graduate statistics curricula.
The successful candidate should have a PhD in statistics or biostatistics and is expected to maintain an active independent research program with a strong potential for potential for obtaining external funding, teach graduate and undergraduate courses with a commitment to excellence in teaching, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to the service component of the department, university, and profession.
