Provides clinical instruction and supervision of dental hygiene students in the Dental Hygiene Clinic. Responsible for reviewing all patient health histories, evaluating student's dental charting, serving as a dental and medical resource for students and dental hygiene faculty and taking the lead in the event of a medical emergency. Expected to participate in continuing education opportunities and collaborate with fellow faculty for the betterment of the program and student experience.
A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree is required with current Missouri state licensure by the Missouri Dental Board. A minimum of three years full time clinical dental experience. Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification. The candidate must possess the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff and patients with diverse backgrounds.
Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills working with students, colleagues and staff. Organizational and time management skills are imperative.
