Responsible for providing leadership, overall direction and support for comprehensive structured and unstructured Natatorium activities, programs and events appropriate for students, faculty/staff, and members of the local community. Responsible for all aspects of the Natatorium’s facility by providing a safe and clean environment to include the weight room, basketball and racquetball courts. Will research, plan and execute events and programs to strengthen relations with the internal audience and key external constituency such as local and state businesses and other supporters of the college. This role will interact with key clients and will oversee some of the college's most impactful events. Ensures, with assistance from the Coordinators that all Natatorium and College policies adhered to by staff and patrons of the facility.
Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or related field to include two years of equated experience in the professional area.
Must have two years of supervisory capacity that includes considerable experience managing staff, daily operations, customer service and policy development and implementation at a multi-functional indoor aquatic facility.
Required certification and/or licensing. Prince George's County Health Department pool operator license, CPR/FPR certification. # American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid certification, American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor's and WSI Instructor's certifications in addition preferred.
Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
