The College of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for an Academic Program Coordinator to administer all aspects of its dynamic and diverse M.A. in Global Affairs and associated global programs. Responsibilities: The Academic Program Coordinator will have primary responsibility for all aspects of M.A. program marketing and promotion, student recruitment, and management of the program-level admissions process. This position will serve as the main point of contact for prospective students and will monitor student degree progress. Duties include managing recruitment efforts; organizing and attending on- and off-campus recruitment events; and collaborating with the college on advertising and marketing programs, as well as maintenance of the program web presence, coordinating with faculty admissions committees, responding to graduate student inquires and concerns, using the university's online application and data systems, and other duties as assigned by the Director.
B.A., or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
Effective communication skills, especially in writing and public speaking;
Ease and responsiveness working with students, senior administrators, deans, department chairs, faculty, Admissions and Registrar personnel, other staff, and academic advisors;
Ability to maintain confidentiality as needed;
Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to excellence; and
Proficiency working with university software and systems to maintain accurate records, and produce precise reports.
An M.A. in an appropriate discipline is strongly preferred; and
Experience working in a higher education environment in a related academic area, or in student services.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
